Truck wedged under Durham bridge
The impact twisted the truck so that its wheels were off the ground

DURHAM, NC (WTVD) -- The driver of a delivery truck apparently didn't realized the height of the vehicle when he tried to go under a bridge in Durham Tuesday morning.

It happened at West Chapel Hill Street near West Pettigrew Street around 11 a.m.

The impact twisted the truck so that its wheels were off the ground and ripped off the roof.

The truck belongs to Kimbrell's Furniture. The truck was headed towards downtown Durham and was only 500 feet from the store.
