UNC campus police investigating dorm burglaries

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's campus are investigating two burglaries that happened early Wednesday morning in Ehringhaus Residence Hall.

According to officials, the victims were on two different floors within the dormitory and reported someone entered their rooms while they were asleep and took cash from their wallets.

No one was hurt. A description of the suspect is not available at this time.

Authorities say if anyone sees suspicious activity on campus, they should call 911.

They are also asking anyone with information about the incidents to call CrimeStoppers at (919) 942-7515 or the Department of Public Safety at (919) 962-8100.
