UNC nursing student found dead in car in Chapel Hill
The UNC Department of Public Safety is investigating the death of a UNC Nursing student who was found dead in her car Thursday evening.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- The UNC Department of Public Safety is investigating the death of a UNC nursing student who was found dead in her car Thursday evening.

Officials said the body of Olutoyosi Layeni Fatolu, age 41, was discovered in her vehicle which was parked at the Friday Center park & ride lot off N.C. Highway 54, two miles east of the main campus.

A person speaking on the condition of anonymity, said Fatolu was found after her husband alerted authorities because he was concerned about her whereabouts.

The School of Nursing declined to comment.

A staffer said they're reeling from the news of the student's death.

At this point, officials do not believe there is any threat to the campus or surrounding community.
