Unwanted 'shopper' chased from Garner store

GARNER, NC (WTVD) -- Hudson's Hardware on Benson Road in Garner got an unusual customer Tuesday.

The back doors of the business were open and a deer just sauntered in. He wound up in some offices in the back of the building and it took a good hour to get him out.

Garner police and Wake County Animal Control were called in to get the job done.

There was minimal damage to the office and the deer was not hurt when he left the way he came in.

Customers were in the store at the time, but the animal stayed in back.
