Vehicle accident shuts down I-40 Westbound

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A vehicle accident has shut down I-40 Westbound near Gorman Street.

It happened at 6:45 p.m. Sunday.

The road is closed near Gorman Street, and is expected to open to traffic again at 8:45 p.m.

Drivers should take Exit 301 to I-440 West, and continue on I-440 West to reach I-40.
