Watch: Lucky escape for skiers caught in avalanche

LA GRAVE, France (WTVD) -- Two skiers in La Grave, France had a lucky escape when an avalanche raced down on them.

The wall of snow covered the men, but luckily it was loose snow and they were able to get out.

Local experts say the avalanche in La Meije North Face was probably triggered by the collapse of a serac in the Meije Glacier.

Nobody was hurt.
