I-40 reopens after incident at Airport Boulevard bridge

RALEIGH, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Westbound traffic was backed up on I-40 for several hours after an incident at the Airport Boulevard bridge Wednesday.

The Wake County Sheriff's Office said someone fell off the bridge into the median and was taken to the hospital, but no other information was immediately available.

Deputies had two lanes of traffic blocked off while they investigated. The lanes have since reopened.
