Woman accused of hitting boyfriend with car in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Police have charged a Fayetteville woman with intentionally running over her boyfriend with a car on Christmas Eve.

It happened in the 5700 block of Aftonshire Drive.

Investigators said 26-year-old Shirley Jean Paulk argued with 26-year-old Tracy Douglas Peterson and she hit him with the vehicle. Further details were not released.

Paulk was booked into the Cumberland County Detention Center on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

Peterson suffered minor injuries.
