Wake County woman leads authorities on high speed chase with children in car

A Cary woman is accused of taking deputies on a high speed chase with her baby and two other children in the backseat.

Authorities said Lavett Saddler raced through Union and Anson counties running red lights at speeds topping 100 miles per hour.

Deputies said they tried pulling her over as she was speeding in Monroe.

She led officers into Anson County where a deputy used stop sticks to end the chase.

Saddler is charged with child abuse, and is out on bond.
