Woman raped on Fayetteville walking trail

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- The Fayetteville Police Department is investigating a rape on the Cross Creek Linear Park trail that was reported Friday.

Detectives said it happened November 12 around 3 p.m. The victim was walking on the trail when a man attacked her. He's described as a black male, mid to late 30's, approximately 6'0 feet in height, medium build and a light to medium skin complexion. The suspect was described as having a deep voice, a scar on his nose and appeared to be clean shaven and had a short hair style.

The suspect possibly was driving a dark dull in color 4-door sedan with tinted windows and was described as an older model vehicle.
