Pedestrian struck by car in Chapel Hill

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police said a 24-year-old woman was struck by a car on West Franklin Street in Chapel Hill around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday.

They said the unidentified woman was in the crosswalk walking across West Franklin Street from University Square Apartments to the SunTrust parking lot when she was struck by a car.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car stopped.

There's no word on whether charges will be filed.

The accident is still under investigation.
