Apex K-9 saves missing woman first week on the job

APEX, N.C. (WTVD) -- An Apex Police K-9 put his skills, and snout, to good use by finding a missing woman his first week on the job.

The Department tweeted out an image of Rocky wearing his badge on Saturday.

Police said the two-year-old Malinois tracked down a woman who walked away from her apartment on Lake Pine Drive on Friday night.

The woman was barely awake in some woods at the bottom of an embankment.

Police told ABC11 she had been drinking but should be okay.

Rocky is the only K-9 working for Apex PD.
