Man puts python in his pants

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (WTVD) -- A man is accused of trying to steal a baby python by putting it in his pants.

You can see it on surveillance video. Travis Treder puts the snake right in his front pocket, but the store owner was ready for him.

Apparently, it's not the first time Treder has stolen something from the store.

The owner says he's taken other snakes and lizards in the past.

When Treder tries to escape, employees block the front entrance and a customer even jumps in to help - holding him down until authorities arrive.
