Real-life Bambi has adorable friendship with bird

Though Faline the deer is named after Bambi's best friend, she's being called a "real-life Bambi." Her parents were killed by hunters, and now a sweet video shows her making a feathered friend.

Jess, a volunteer wildlife rescuer near Sydney, Australia, told Storyful News that Faline was taken into her care in December 2015. Faline became fast friends with a crested pigeon.

The friends palled around the room together, with the pigeon grooming Faline and riding on her back.

Jess did not release Faline back into the wild because deer are an introduced species in Australia. Instead, she said Faline has been taken in by a loving home.
