A state lawmaker in Tennessee was arrested for stealing his opponents' campaign signs. But it was his opponent who got him out of jail.

Someone recorded Representative Curry Todd on camera removing rival Mark Lovell's campaign signs last month.

Todd was arrested Tuesday, when he repeatedly failed to show up for questioning.

Hours later, Lovell posted Curry's bond.

It's not clear why he was so helpful to his rival.

Curry faces Lovell and two other challengers in the Republican primary.
