PRIME MINISTER ATTACKED
You may remember President George W Bush once had a shoe thrown at him, well two female activists Monday pelted Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel with French fries and covered him with mayonnaise.
The 39-year-old kept a smile on his face and declined to press charges against the women.
He actually took the incident all in stride and restarted his speech by apologizing for smelling of mayonnaise.
GIFT OF A DAY OFF
In Connecticut, one grandfather got a gift from Santa that he will likely never forget.
It was a day off from his job, and he has his grandson to thank. Leo Otero's grandson didn't ask for toys for Christmas. He wrote Santa a note asking that his grandfather get the day off from work so he could spend the holiday with family.
And when the manager of the Madison Beach hotel where Julian's grandfather works saw the letter, he decided to grant the request and give Julian's grandfather the day off.
BOWL BRAWL
The Miami Beach Bowl ended in a huge brawl. Players battled for 60 minutes, then again for two overtimes, and literally fought after the final play.
Players from both teams spilled onto the field.
For the Memphis Tigers, the end result was a win 76 years in the making. They beat the BYU Cougars 55 to 48.
