POLK COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A billboard recently put up on a highway in Polk County seems to poke fun at North Carolina due to the passing of controversial House Bill 2.

"Welcome to North Carolina," the billboard reads. "Due to our stance on LGBT rights please set your clock back 100 years."

House Bill 2, also known as The Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act, was designed to block a Charlotte ordinance that would have allowed transgender people to use the public bathrooms of the gender they identify with.

Gov. McCrory said Tuesday he will ask for the General Assembly to undo some portions of the law.
