Non-profit holds quarterly fundraising sale in Durham Mall with designer, new, and gently used items.

It only happens four times a year. The Triangle chapter of Dress For Success opens the doors of their store front inside Durham's Northgate Mall near Sears to sell all their excess inventory.

"We use 15% of our clothes to suit our clients, and, we use 15% for the excess inventory sale," explained Beth Briggs, Executive Director for Dress For Success of the Triangle. "This provides 20% of our operational cost."

The cost of the items sold is priced about 90% off retail. And, items range from gently used and new including high end designer dresses, jackets, and accessories.

"Dina Porter is a store in Chapel Hill that has contributed a beautiful line of clothing," said Briggs.

She points out the retail price of one formal dress:

"It's $679 dollars, and we will sell this for 30 dollars. Everything is about a tenth of the price of what you would pay.

"Suits for $10, jackets for $15, outerwear for $15.

This is an amazing place to shop and get clothes for your wardrobe. And, every penny goes back into the non profit which works to support women from all walks of life looking to achieve economic independence .

The Dress For Success Triangle excess sale is Saturday, February 21 from 10am-5pm at the Northgate Mall in Durham. You can shop early at 9am with a $20 donation. For more information click HERE.
