Art Of The Carolinas Expo is going on at the North Raleigh Hilton through Sunday, Nov. 13. Vendors from 36 states are showing off the latest products and demonstrations in the art world. There are also more than 100 workshops you can pay to attend, but, the biggest perk is the savings you can snag with closeout items with savings of over 50%.

"We've got everything. Paint brushes, easels, canvas, you name it we've got it over there," explained Art Of The Carolinas Director Sharon DiGiulio.

"It's a great time to pick up gifts for kids or a lot of instructors come in and load up their car or U-hauls and they are able to get art supplies at really low prices," she said.

Saturday, November 12 is also Try Hockey For Free Day across the country. More than 500 locations will open their doors to let kids ages 4-9 take to the ice and learn all about hockey. In many cases, equipment is provided but if you have a helmet, you are encouraged to bring it. Registration is also recommended, but, not required. In the Triangle the Orange County Sportsplex, PNC Arena, and Raleigh Iceplex are all taking part.

You can warm up after hitting the ice by snagging a buy one get one free holiday drink from Starbucks. The BOGO deal runs from now through Nov. 14 and is available from 2-5PM on the holiday drink list.

Cheers.
