Chapel Hill celebrates diversity with community dinner

CHAPEL HILL (WTVD) -- Having dinner with your neighbors isn't so unusual, but what about having dinner with your entire community? That's what Chapel Hill has done for 18 years, and on Sunday, April 10, the 19th Annual Community Dinner will take place at 1pm at McDougle Schools Cafetorium, 900 Old Fayetteville Road in Chapel Hill.

The Community Dinner is a community building event crossing economic, racial, religious and ethnic barriers and presenting culturally diverse food and entertainment from our own community.

The main meal is prepared by Mama Dip's Kitchen and is supplemented by wonderful dishes from local restaurants and community groups. This year's entertainment will include the First Baptist Church Choir, the Bouncing Bulldogs, the Paper Hand Puppet Intervention and Kidz Notes,
