Raleigh Walmart presents check to feed the hungry

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The world's biggest retailer is giving back.

Thursday morning, Walmart presented a check to local organizations to help feed those in need.

The ceremony took place at the Super Walmart on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. The $166,000 donation came from the Walmart Foundation.

The grant money will help The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, The Rescue Mission Ministries, The Society of Saint Andrew, and Chatham Outreach Alliance.

The money will be used to help the community and alleviate hunger.
