Women's Empowerment & Networking Expo keynote speaker announced

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Organizers of the Women's Empowerment & Networking Expo announced Thursday that Bishop T.D. Jakes will serve as keynote speaker again this year.

The annual event was created in 1995 in honor of Women's History Month with the purpose of inspiring, encouraging and educating.

Workshops, seminars and lectures are conducted that focus on physical, mental, spiritual, financial and emotional health. The goal is to motivate, inspire, and rejuvenate.

Bishop Jakes serves as senior pastor of the Potter's House, a humanitarian organization and mega church in Dallas.

More than 18,000 are expected to attend on April 18 at the PNC Arena.
