Young fan throws Jeter baseball back on field

It starts out as a joyful family moment: Derek Jeter hits a foul ball, which is thrown into the crowd, and this lucky dad catches it.
Mom laughs and takes pictures, as the older daughter on the ground asks to see dad's new toy.
After the photoshoot, dad conceeds and hands the ball down to his little girl...
...who promptly winds up and pitches the ball back onto the field.
It takes everyone a moment to realize what's happened.
Mom is the first to see, and her priceless mortified expression perfectly sums up how we'd all feel.
And then the shock spreads.
You have to admit: For someone so small, she has quite an arm.
Fortunately, Yankee Stadium staff stepped in to save the day, and the ball boy brought the doubly-foul ball back over.
The crowd is happy for the dad...
...and so is his little girl, who's probably going to be made to watch a higlight reel of Jeter's best moments to teach her the error of her ways.

A foul ball hit by the soon-to-be retired Derek Jeter turned into an error by one young fan at the Blue Jays-Yankees game Friday.

When the man who caught the ball handed it to his little girl, he--and everyone around him--got quite a shock when he saw what she did with it.

Fortunately, the Yankee Stadium staff came to the rescue, and the foul ball was returned.
