A robotic arm could give Major League Baseball catchers a run for their money.

Researchers at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology created it to catch objects on the fly. Instead of spending hours programming it, they developed a system where the arm can be moved in real time by a human who teaches it how to catch.

Once it got the basics down, the arm uses a camera based tracking system to refine its movements, and snatch objects in mid-air.
