Another change for your commute along I-40

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- If you travel through the I-40/440 work zone over the next few days, you will see some changes.

Overnight, the DOT shut down the exit from westbound I-40 to Gorman Street, between the Lake Wheeler Road and Jones Franklin Street exits.

It will remain closed all weekend.

It's scheduled to re-open before Monday morning's rush hour.

If you're heading west, you can get off at Lake Wheeler Road and use Tryon Road, Centennial Parkway and Avent Ferry Road as alternates.
