A child suffered what police called minor injuries after being struck by a car while riding a bike.

DURHAM, NC (WTVD) -- A child riding a bicycle was struck by a car Monday in Durham.

Police said officers responded about 4:10 p.m. to the 2400 block of Nebo Street.

The child was taken for treatment in an ambulance. Police said the injuries appeared to be minor.

The driver stopped at the scene and did not appear to be hurt. The Hyundai sedan sustained damage to the windshield glass.

The crash remains under investigation.
