Two people were hurt in a crash on I-95 north in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A crash caused major delays on I-95 north in Cumberland County near Exit 49/Cedar Creek Road.

Troopers said a pickup truck pulling a trailer rear-ended a tractor trailer, causing the pickup to roll over.

The driver of the pickup, James Barbour of Dunn, NC, and his passenger were trapped inside the pickup until rescue crews could extract them.

Barbour and his passenger were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt.

All lanes of I-95 north reopened just before 8 a.m.

Barbour was charged with failure to reduce speed, exceeding the posted speed limit, and failure to wear a seatbelt.
