FORT BRAGG (WTVD) -- Starting Wednesday, part of Bragg Boulevard will be permanently closed to Fort Bragg drivers.

Northbound traffic from Fayetteville will be routed off NC-87.

The northbound lanes of Bragg Boulevard are now closed between Randolph Street and Butner Road on post.

Southbound lanes will remain open for now.

The shift in traffic is to accommodate a new thoroughfare that can handle the tens of thousands of vehicles that pass through the area each day.
