JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- One person was killed in a crash on Interstate 40 Monday morning, and six other people were injured.
The crash happened near the Meadow community.
The State Highway Patrol said a back tire on a mini-van started to shred as the vehicle was heading eastbound. That caused the vehicle to swerve off the road and overturn.
A father, mother, and their four daughters were inside along with one of those girls' boyfriend, Paul Vang. Vang, of Hildebran, N.C., was killed in the crash.
No charges have been filed at last report.
