RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police say a woman was killed walking on South Saunders Street near Carolina Pines Avenue Tuesday evening.
It happened around 9 p.m. in the northbound lanes.
Denise Michelle Holliday, 53, was staying at the Super 8 motel and was apparently trying to cross the road to get to a convenience store when she was struck.
Police said Holliday was not in a marked crosswalk and the traffic on the street had a green light.
No charges have been filed. The investigation continues.
