Truck damages 2 Pinehurst golf courses

PINEHURST, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Police are searching for a pickup truck believed to be responsible for tearing up two popular Pinehurst golf courses. Photos show extensive damage including tire tracks on fairways and greens.

The Aberdeen Times reports the vehicle drove down the middle of the fairway and across a green on the 17th hole at Course #1.

On Course #4, the truck drove on the green and fairway on the 17th hole. The truck also appears to have done donuts, tearing up grass and dirt.

Pinehurst police say at least $20,000 in damage was done. The truck police believe was responsible was caught on a security camera nearby.
