The low Sunday morning could dip down to the upper 20s.

A strong upper-level system passing over Central North Carolina today and another one passing north of North Carolina on Saturday will bring occasional clouds. A brief shower might happen Saturday, but no significant rainfall is expected.

Temperatures today will still reach into the low 60s, but readings on Saturday will only reach the low 50s with a gusty wind adding to the chill.

The coldest air will start to leave the region on Sunday and a nice warmup will take place for the start of next week. Readings rise back into the 70s. That's more typical for early April.

An approaching cold front brings some rain and thunderstorms Tuesday.
