Clearing Skies and Breezy Today

After a seasonable start to the weekend, it will turn cooler to end the weekend. This change in temperatures is due to the passage of a cold front last night. In the wake of this cold front, high pressure will build eastward over the area, promoting a sunny day. Even with the sunshine, it will feel much colder due to a brisk northwesterly wind.

It will be a little cooler on Monday as this area of high pressure settles right over the area. With high pressure right overhead, sunshine will be plentiful.

Temperatures should rebound some heading into Tuesday as high pressure shifts off to the east and a weak front starts to move southward through the eastern Great Lakes. With a system off to the south, some clouds will move north, leading to a partly sunny day.

The forecast for Wednesday and Thursday will depend on how an area of low pressure over Florida on Tuesday moves northward along the coast. If this areas of low pressure moves away off the East Coast, rain will remain well away from the area. If this system were to come up the coast, clouds and even some rain would be possible both days. Regardless of what happens with this system, it does look like it will clear out by the end of the weekend into the start of the upcoming week.

Have a great day!
