A cold front dropped into the region to just south of Raleigh created a wide range in temperatures today. It stayed in the 50s all day near the Virginia border, while temperatures soared to a record tying 80 in Fayetteville. RDU Airport reached 70. The front has shifted back to the north this evening, and by tomorrow we'll all be back in the warm air. So look for lows of 53 north to near 60 south tonight with partly cloudy skies. Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy in the morning, with some sun by afternoon. Highs tomorrow will range from the mid 70s north to low 80s to the south. The records for the Triangle both days are in the low 80s, so we probably won't set records, but we'll still be about 20 degrees above average!

A cold front will approach on Sunday, and scattered showers will develop by afternoon. Highs again will reach the mid 70s to near 80. Shower chances will continue Sunday night into midday Monday, with rain ending during the afternoon. Temperatures on Monday will cool to the low 60s, but that's still a few degrees above average. Sunny skies will be the rule on Tuesday with highs in the 60s, still very mild!

Have a great weekend!
