Stunning footage was captured of lava engulfing a forest in flames at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Kawiki Singsong hiked seven miles into the park to capture the lava covering trees in flames. The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said that the lava is flowing towards the Pacific Ocean and was about a half mile away from the water as of Sunday.

Lava from the Kilauea volcano can get over a sweltering 2,100 degrees Fahrenheit hot, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Officials say that the lava does not pose a threat to local communities.
