Najmah told ABC11 Tuesday that the pain of losing her son, 20-year-old Markeith Cobb, is something she's still grappling with.

"It's still so fresh, you know, but I'm doing my best to try to get through it," Najmah said. "I know I have to grieve, but I also know that I have to be OK for the babies, and not off put the babies."

William said he's proud of how strong Najmah has been in dealing with grief and hopes the triplets, delivered early after 31 weeks, will be just as strong.

The triplets are breathing on their own, and William looks forward to watching them grow.

"They're so small, and I know that they're ours and it's just an exciting time," William said. "Very exciting, and I'm so proud of them I know they were going to be small but you can just tell they have the will to live."
