MOORE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man led the State Highway Patrol on a high-speed chase on U.S. 1 in Moore County Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 3:30 p.m.

According to the Cypress Pointe Fire Department, troopers chased a car going northbound from Southern Pines.

Officials said it went on for several miles and at times was into opposing traffic with speeds up to 125 miles per hour.

The car hit a bridge over the tracks at Belk Lumber and continued with a flat tire, the fire department said.

After about a mile, the car turned onto Valley View Road where a trooper brought him to a stop using a P.I.T. maneuver, according to officials.

No one was injured.
