Retailers giving away freebies and gift cards to lure in early Black Friday shoppers

Retailers are using Black Friday freebies and giveaways to lure in customers early.

Belk is planning to a million dollar gift card giveaway on Thanksgiving.

For the first 250 customers in line when doors open at Belk stores at 6pm on Thanksgiving, a gift card ranging from $5-$1000 dollars will be handed out. And, according to the Belk flier, every store will have a $1,000 winner.

Petsmart is giving the first 100 people in line a free paw print ornament and a movie rental when doors open at 7am Black Friday morning.

JCPenney is also handing out big coupons at the door on Thanksgiving. And, on Black Friday afternoon at 3, employees will hand out free Disney snow globes until supplies run out.

Gander Mountain is planning giveaways or savings up to 50% off and a chance to win a $500 dollar gift card for the first 100 people in line by 5 the morning of Black Friday.

Amazon is offering hundreds of limited time lightning deals as often as every five minutes for Black Friday deals.

Kohl's is handing out two tickets to Star Wars: The Force Awakens for each of the first shoppers in line when the stores open on Thanksgiving night at 6. The tickets are to Fandango and can be redeemed for any movie.

Kmart is handing a free goodie bag that reads 'I will conquer Black Friday' for the first 100 at the door when they open at 7 on Thanksgiving night.
