Accident closes lanes on Capital Blvd. in Wake County

WAKE COUNTY (WTVD) -- An accident closed several lanes on Capital Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened right across from Crossroads Ford in Wake Forest, near Burlington Mills Road.

Three northbound lanes on Capital Blvd. were closed near Burlington Mills Rd. while the scene was cleared, but the roads have since reopened.

Wake Forest officials said a car rear-ended an 18-wheeler around 12:15 p.m. The driver of that car was taken to WakeMed, but there's been no word on injuries.
