FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are searching for the gunman who shot a 15-year-old boy Sunday morning.

Authorities said it happened around 7 a.m. while the teen was walking along Mike Street, near Bragg Boulevard.

Police released a photo of a vehicle of interest. They are asking for the public's help to identify the vehicle, its owner, and/or occupants. Authorities said it's a newer model grey GMC Yukon with spoke rims.

It was in the area of Mike Street and Bragg Boulevard Sunday morning.

Officers said the teen told them someone driving by opened fire. The boy was not seriously hurt.
