Perfect girl's time: Southern Women's Show in Raleigh this weekend

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The 31st Annual Southern Women's Show is coming to the North Carolina State Fairgrounds this weekend and it promises lots of shopping, wine, food, and entertainment.

There will be dozens of vendors selling everything from makeup to jewelry. There will be different fun-filled events on the main stage throughout each day (with a special guest appearance!)

The show promises something for ladies of all ages, like Elsa for the kiddies . . .

. . . And a Barefoot Wine cash bar for adults. Score your coupon to a free glass of wine here.

There will also be a "beauty bar" sponsored by Belk for makeovers, featuring dozens of makeup brands and experts to help you find the look that's best for you.

Events

You can watch ABC11 weekend anchor Heather Waliga take the main stage to compete against other local celebrities in the "Dancing like the Stars" show on Saturday, to benefit the National Inclusion Project. Read more about that here.

Or, you could go to the Handsome Home Town Heroes show Friday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. It's a firefighter "fashion show" for charity. Anything for a good cause, right?

It benefits the Firefighter's Burned Children Fund of Wake County -- again, it's for charity, y'all, charity.

Check out the full event schedule here.

Special Guests

The show will also feature meet-and-greets with two new special guests.

Stephen "tWitch" Boss - Friday at 1:30 p.m.

He's a mentor dancer on the television show "So You Think You Can Dance," a favorite guest DJ on the "Ellen" show and the actor who plays "Malik" in "Magic Mike XXL."

He's also married to dancer Allison Holker from "Dancing with the Stars."

Whitney Way Thore - Saturday 1:00 p.m.

She's the star in the TLC reality show "My Big Fat Fabulous Life." She has a lot of people joining the conversation about body image after starting the YouTube video series "Fat Girl Dancing."

The series has given her a platform as a "fat-acceptance advocate." This video alone has more than 2 million views.
