RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Raleigh mother facing four counts of child abuse made an appearance on Facebook Live on Thursday.

Sarai Flores-Lechuga was arrested Wednesday after no one picked up her kindergarten-aged child from the bus stop.

Police then found that Flores-Lechuga left four children, ranging in ages from 8 to 1, at home alone, resulting in the charges.

Flores-Lechuga was being held at the Wake County Detention Center on $5,000 bond. She was released from jail at 12:52 p.m. Thursday.

Thursday afternoon, she appeared on a Facebook Live video where she explained that someone else was supposed to pick up her child and watch her children.

"It was an accident because I left the kids with someone else to pick up my kids from the bus," Flores-Lechuga said in Spanish around the 1:30 minute mark. "And well it wasn't that way.

"They never went to pick them up. I don't know what happened, and it was exactly that -- that my kids were left alone because of that person who left them. They didn't go to the bus stop to pick up my kids."

A GoFundMe page created for Flores-Lechuga has been circulating on Facebook but has since been taken down.

In the Facebook Live video, Flores-Lechuga goes on to thank supporters.

"Thank you to everyone who decided to help me," she said around the 2:45 mark. "And help with what little they have so I could get out and get back to work to pay, to pay the money for the lawyers."

Then the woman behind the camera asks her to share a message with the people watching.

"We have like 30 people watching the video," the woman behind the camera said in Spanish. "But this video will be shared, and I'd like you to say something more to the community. Something that's yours, right, something from the heart because a lot of people are going to see this video this week.

"A lot of people will be talking about you because it's the first time that you're being seen in public since all the drama that happened to you."

Flores-Lechuga responded by saying:

"I want to say thank you to all the people who supported me so I could get out, and logically, I don't feel good, calm, because now I don't have my kids here with me."

The judge told her Wednesday that if she bonded out, she would not be allowed to have contact with her children.

"I know it's going to take some time for me to get them back, but I know I can accomplish this, to have them with me again because I love them a lot."
