Remembering fallen Moore County deputy

MOORE COUNTY, NC (WTVD) -- Moore County sheriff's deputies are remembering one of their own Thursday.

Deputy Rick Rhyne was shot and killed five years ago while responding to a trespassing call.

Thursday, deputies will wear a blue ribbon on their uniforms to honor his life.

The sheriff's office will also hold a memorial service Thursday morning at the Rick Rhyne Public Safety Center in Carthage.
