Fayetteville police: Don't help thieves, break down your boxes
Police are reminding people to be cautious with their empty boxes from Christmas

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are reminding residents to be careful with putting empty boxes from Christmas on the curb -- it can be a way to advertise what's now in your home.

Even though it might be toy boxes, police said thieves are on the lookout this time of year for anything to steal.

Police said that boxes that are not broken down are the easiest for potential robbers to spot.
