Cyclist hit by truck in Durham

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A cyclist suffered serious injuries in Durham Friday afternoon when she was hit by a pickup truck.

It happened on in the 800 block of West Trinity Avenue east of North Duke Street around 2:30 p.m.

Pictures from the scene showed EMS workers tending to the woman who was conscious.

The truck had a smashed windshield.

Durham Police said the woman's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
