3 injured in 3-vehicle crash on Highway 70 in Johnston County

WILSON'S MILLS, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Three people were hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon that closed Highway 70 eastbound in the Johnston County town of Wilson's Mills.

At least three vehicles were involved. It appeared a courier van and a pickup were involved as well as a passenger vehicle.

It happened shortly after 4 p.m. just east of Swift Creek Road.

This courier van out of Garner was involved in the crash.

The road has reopened, but traffic remained slow. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

There was no immediate word on the conditions of the victims.
