The family of an austic girl is asking for the public's help to find her missing companion dog.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- After being lost for almost five days, Lexi has been reunited with her owners!

Lexi, a 2-year-old Bichon/Shih Tzu (teddy bear) mix, went missing Saturday at The Village on Hill Street apartment complex in Raleigh.

The dog acts as a companion for an autistic girl who was visiting from New Jersey, her aunt, Tracy Glover told ABC11.

According to Raleigh police, Lexi was located Thursday afternoon near Fields of Broadlands Drive and was happy to be reunited with her family.
