Dump truck overturns on I-540 in Raleigh, causes traffic delays

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A dump truck has overturned on I-540 westbound causing traffic delays.

The incident happened before 10:30 Tuesday morning on I-540 near Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh.

Around that same time, another crash happened eastbound just past the dump truck.

Both westbound and eastbound lanes were immediately closed, but police are working to reopen some of the lanes.

Officials have yet to say what caused either incident.
