New Year's Eve weather: Warmer temps with chance of rain

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- New Year's Eve will be much warmer than normal.

Temperatures will be in the low 60s throughout the evening with a chance for some light showers.

ABC11 meteorologist Steve Stewart said we'll see warmer temperatures in the evening.

The shower chances right now are around 30 to 40 percent.

In 2017, we experienced wind chills in the teens and 20s, so this will be a much warmer night to ring in 2019.
