Overturned truck closes lanes on I-540 in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A serious accident closed two of three lanes on Highway 540 in Wake County Saturday.

Raleigh police said it happened around 3:30 p.m. near Leesville Road.

A utility truck driver overturned on the highway. The driver was awake and alert at the scene, authorities said.

The driver was taken to the hospital, but is believed to have minor injuries.

It is uncertain why the driver's truck overturned. No other cars were involved.
